IRS Announces 2010 Stardard Mileage Rates

Business:
2009: 55 cents per mile
2010: 50 cents per mile

Medical and Moving:
2009: 24 cents per mile
2010: 16.5 cents per mile

Charitable Contribution:
2009: 14 cents per mile
2010: 14 cents per mile

Silly Lawsuits

We are going to start posting some of the more ridiculous lawsuits we see filed as part of this section. With the economy struggling, we are going to see more folks resorting to frivolous lawsuits to try and make a buck. Unfortunately, everyone – even the lawyers – are struggling in this economy.

This posting’s lawsuit shows a woman suing a satellite TV provider because she tripped and fell on a cable. Read the complaint. This sort of stuff happens every day.
